Natural disaster strikes again as Taiwan reels from a devastating earthquake

Summary Image
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake causes major disruptions in power supplies and high speed rail service

It seems like something out of a movie. Every couple of weeks we’re hearing about natural disasters that are tearing apart cities, towns, villages and people.  A 6.4 magnitude earthquake has shaken southern Taiwan, triggering one huge fire that has left 64 people injured and many others terrified.

Although a Tsunami alert has been sent to many different countries, Taiwan was not one of them.  As a result, the quake, one of the largets in the region in over a century, caught many by surprise.

It truly feels like every time I turn on my t.v set or radio there’s a drought, hurricane, tsunami warning or a earthquake happening somewhere in the world.

I can’t help but think if there's something greater yet to come or have we just done a really bad job of taking care of our planet earth?

I’ll leave the answer to you, but in the meantime keep doing what you’re doing, help the victims effected by these natural disasters and together we can save the world!

Get a grip, can we not post sensationalist headlines like this is the national enquirer or something? Adding 2012 twaddle just adds to the lack of substance in this post. Please stick to the great things this site can do.
