Help empower Youth to Stop the Spread of HIV and AIDS
Today’s youth have never known a world without AIDS. Every day, over 6000 young people under 25 years old are infected with HIV. Of those infected, the vast majority do not have access to treatment and care. Young people remain at the center of the epidemic in terms of vulnerability, impact and potential for change.
GYCA's mission is to empower young leaders with the skills, knowledge, resources and opportunities they need to scale up HIV/AIDS interventions amongst their peers. GYCA is a youth-led global network of over 4,500 young leaders and adult allies working on youth and HIV/AIDS in 150 countries world-wide. By offering free skills-building e-courses to young people, supporting selected members with Small Grants, and coordinating international work through our Focal Points program, GYCA equips today’s youth with the tools they need to be successful agents of change in their communities.
Almost half of the 2.5 million people infected with HIV each year are under 25 years old. Your donation empowers over 4,500 young people fighting AIDS in 150 countries worldwide by supporting them with the information, skills, resources, and opportunities they need to make a different in their communities.
