Our Campaign Heal the Human Condition

From Bangladesh, Pakistan, Chad and Darfur, CARE Canada provides relief for people living in hostile, poverty-stricken, and areas prone to natural disasters. CARE coordinates with the government, local and international aid agencies to determine the extent of damage, and mobilizes additional emergency supplies to communities in the developing countries who are in dire need of help.

By sending a Family Survival Kit to a vulnerable woman and her children in an emergency situation, you will be providing them with the necessities to help them survive and eventually rebuild their lives. Included in the Family Survival Kit are: bed sheets, floor mats, mosquito nets, clothing, kitchen utensils, laundry basins and water storage containers.

Each month, CARE Canada responds to 2-3 emergencies (big and small) around the world, providing life-saving support to thousands of people. These emergencies include natural disasters, conflicts, and other situations where innocent lives are at risk.

With ongoing operations in almost 70 countries, CARE personnels are on the ground and ready to respond the moment an emergency arises. These CARE workers are already intimately familiar with local languages, customs and suppliers. CARE immediately helps victims by distributing food, clean water and shelter, as well as by offering medical treatment to the sick and injured.

Equally important, CARE remains in the affected areas to help rebuild communities and prepare people to manage any future crises.
