About This Cause

Need

In countries rich with resources, we are still witnessing dramatic increases in the number of young people between the ages of 15-18 with no place to call home. All people deserve a safe place that they can call home which can allow them to thrive.

Solution

Through the Five Days for the Homeless campaign, students will live "homeless" for five days. During this campaign students from across the country will be making personal sacrifices to make their community a better place. Students will forgo their comforts, and live outside, effectively homeless, on their respective campus for five full days and nights.

Impact

By raising money and awareness for youth and homelessness, students band together to support the much needed services provided by local charities for youth at risk. The vision is to make a real difference in local communities across Canada.

5 Days Down, a Lifetime Left to Create Change

I am grateful to be going home to sleep in my bed, and talk to my family on the phone, but I am going to miss the late night laughter, and all night snuggles from my new family. I have become accustomed to homeless life on campus!
